Brian “Woody” White is the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer at Homebridge Financial Services, one of the top private mortgage lenders in the country. In this role, Brian is building the roadmap to ensure Homebridge is an industry leader in focusing on diversity and inclusion internally, as well as in reaching underserved communities. He plans to use his many years of experience as a business and technology executive to pay it forward by assisting minorities with employment opportunities and the quest for homeownership.
Before his current role, Woody served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Homebridge and in a similar capacity for Countrywide, Credit Suisse, SallieMae, First Union, and the Mortgage Bankers Association.
As an entrepreneur in the late 90s, Woody and several friends raised $250 Million to launch the Regulus Group, which quickly became the largest remittance processing company in the United States, servicing Wells Fargo, Chase, UPS, FedEx, and others.
Woody has personally experienced the effects of bias and racism during his 35-year career as a technology executive and served as a sponsor multiple times to launch internal diversity-type programs over the years. He uses this direct experience to approach Homebridge’s D&I commitments with a keen focus on real change and on building an environment of inclusion and empathy. He understands the barriers to entry in home buying for people of color, as well as the diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives needed to develop a more diverse workplace.
