Washington, DC, September 12, 2023 –Housing Finance Strategies President Faith Schwartz today announced that David Berenbaum, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Office of Housing Counseling, US Department of Housing and Urban Development, has been honored as the 2023 Housing Champion, an annual award presented at the firms’ #HousingDC23 annual conference.
“David’s leadership this year has been exemplary – both in terms of motivating our nation’s housing counselors in a time of housing pressure and in terms of producing results such as the Let’s Make Home the Goal national homeownership campaign and the publication of the updated HUD Housing Counseling Handbook. For these tremendous accomplishments, and his tenacity to achieve success, we are pleased to name DAS Berenbaum our annual Housing Champion,” said Faith Schwartz.
